Bosutinib is a drug used to treat a specific type of blood cancer, called Philadelphia chromosome-positive chronic myelogenous leukemia. It is a kinase inhibitor and is available in an oral tablet form.

 

Uses

It is usually prescribed for patients who are newly diagnosed with chronic myelogenous leukemia or no longer benefit from other forms of treatment.

Side-effects

Common side-effects seen due to the use of Bosutinib are,

  • Loss of appetite

  • Low platelet counts

  • Nausea

  • Abdomen pain

  • Change in liver activity

  • Cough

Bosutinib may cause infertility.

  • Do not take Bosutinib if you are pregnant or plan on having a baby.
