About Olaparib:

  • Olaparib is the generic version of Lynzpara, a chemotherapy drug.

Uses of Olaparib:

  • It acts against some prostate cancers, breast cancers and ovarian cancers which are caused due to a mutation in either BRCA1 or BRCA2 genes.
How Does It Work?:
  • Olaparib is recommended for targeted therapy.
  • It acts as Poly ARP ribose polymerase (PARP) inhibitor, a DNA repairing enzyme.
