Uses of Ibrutinib:

The anti-cancer drug is used to treat Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), Marginal zone lymphoma (MZL), and Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia.

How Does It Work?:

B cells are lymphocyte subtype of white blood cells. When cancerous, the cells grow rapidly and causesna tumor.
For the cells, Bruton's tyrosine kinase (BTK) is important.
Ibrutinib inhibits this protein and restricts the growth of cancerous B cells.

Taking the Medicine:

The capsule is taken orally once a day.
Depending on the prescribed dosage, 1 to 4 capsules can be taken at a time.

Caution:

Do not overdose than prescribed.
